Britt grew up in Snellville, GA, just outside of Atlanta. He started his whitewater career a few years after graduating from Columbus State University with a B.S. in Accounting.
He spent his first two seasons guiding in Long Creek, South Carolina on the Chattooga River. In 2012, he headed to Alaska and spent the summer guiding on the Nenana River just outside of Denali National Park. He has also spent time working on the Colorado (Cataract Canyon), Green (Lador Canyon), Yampa, Tuolumne, and Merced rivers. Previously, Britt worked as a river manager for a rafting company on the Ocoee River in Ducktown, TN.
Between summer seasons Britt spent four winters in Telluride, Colorado working and skiing in the San Juan mountains, and exploring the beautiful deserts of the southwestern US. Now lives in the Columbia River Gorge year-round, skiing on Mt. Hood in the winter and rafting in the summer. When not on the river you can find him mountain biking, playing disc golf, and hiking with his dog Xena and wife Kristy!
