Wet Planet Rafting Decal

Durham started his rafting career in the summer of 2016 on Clear Creek located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He is the oldest of 6 brothers and grew up skiing in the winter and boating in the summer so the choice of an outdoor career was welcomed and expected. In a professional setting, and wanting to diversify his rafting experience, he then accepted a position on the Arkansas River where he worked for 3 seasons before deciding to expand beyond. Durham now finds himself in his 7th year of professionally raft guiding and 2nd season with Wet Planet, enjoying the lush scenery and famous Husum Falls. Recreationally, he has enjoyed a handful of multi-day trips such as the Gates of Ladore, Desolation Canyon, and Grand Canyon. Durham continuously finds ways to push his experience and skills on and off the job. Another interesting thing about Durham is that he lived in Chile for 2 years where he learned to speak fluent Spanish. Off the river you can catch him on the slopes, rock climbing, or hiking!

What Guests Say About Durham

“We rafted over Labor Day weekend with Durham as our guide. Although I had rafted in Colorado before, it was nothing like this. If you are seeking an adrenaline rush go to Wet Planet. The laughs , cheers, smiles, and at times eye opening was worth every penny and more. Durham was funny, knowledgeable , just as excited as us, and most of all kept us safe! His mother must have raised him right! From hitting crazy rapids, jumping off a cliff and going down a waterfall…Thanks for getting my heart pumping and the exhilarating experience.” – ajwar4 from Saint Louis, MO (Tripadvisor, 9/9/22)

“Durham was exceptional! Super knowledgeable, a calming, yet energetic presence. Everything you’d want guiding you down some wild river rapids! Our trip was an absolute blast, and while everyone from wet planet was kind and wonderful, Durham absolutely made our leadership team building excursion a total hit!” – LPH (Tripadvisor, 5/27/22)

“By far the most extreme rafting experience I have had to-date. The staff is amazing! Our guide (Durham) was amazing. The Wind River was at its wildest and all the decisions and leadership got the whole group through safe and smiling. Be honest with your guides beforehand about your experience and skill, it is essential for the safety of everyone! Even if you consider yourself athletic, you will get “gassed” on this river if the maneuvers demand it.” – Michael B. (Tripadvisor, 5/9/23)
