ABOUT ME
Dani is a passionate artist, graphic designer, and whitewater enthusiast who feels most at home on the river. Her love for whitewater began where she grew up, paddling in Missouri and traveling throughout the Southeast to explore rivers and compete in slalom kayaking events. She later pursued her passion for art and design, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Over the years, Dani has followed both creativity and adventure across the country. She spent time on the Big Island of Hawaii working in a therapeutic program with youth, lived in Durango, Colorado, teaching high school art and instructing kayaking, and found her way to Long Creek, South Carolina, where she raft guided on the Chattooga River for five seasons.
Alongside her work on the river, Dani has collaborated with a range of local businesses, creating design and marketing materials, organizing events, and managing social media through both in-house roles and freelance commissions.
During her time in Long Creek, Dani became deeply connected to the local community. With a passion for bringing creatives together, she founded and organized the Long Creek Market in the summers of 2024 and 2025, the first market in this small river town nestled in rural Appalachia. The market created a space for local farmers, makers, and bakers to share their goods with both residents and visitors drawn to the area for whitewater and hiking.
Dani is excited to join the Wet Planet team for the 2026 season as a Marketing and Sales Specialist, where she brings together her love for design, marketing, and whitewater.
Off the clock, you can find Dani immersed in the woods and on the water; watercolor painting rivers and waterfalls, running, practicing yoga, and kayaking.
