ABOUT ME

Wet Planet Rafting Decal

Originally from the Arizona desert, Chris quickly fell for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Fifteen years later, he proudly calls the Puget Sound area home. Based in Tacoma, WA, he embraces life as a dedicated PNWer, spending his time exploring local rivers, camping, and occasionally sneaking in a round of golf.

Rivers have always held a special place in Chris’s heart. An early taste of whitewater sparked his interest, and over time that curiosity grew into a true passion. Whitewater kayaking is now both his craft and his profession. With a background in teaching throughout his adult life, Chris has spent the past four years as a core instructor for his local whitewater club, bringing patience, clarity, and progression-focused coaching to the river. He’s excited to join the Wet Planet team for the 2026 season.

Chris’s approach is simple: less is more. Savor the experience. Don’t get caught up in the minor details. Whether it’s your first run over Husum Falls or your first time paddling moving water, his calm, steady presence helps you feel confident and supported. Whitewater can look intimidating at first, but with the right progression, it becomes both challenging and deeply rewarding, offering a sense of accomplishment that few other experiences can match.
