ABOUT ME
Meet Grace – Base Operations Manager – adventure-seeker, water lover, and all-around outdoor enthusiast!
Grace’s passion for water sports started in the landlocked state of Indiana, where she spent summers tubing, water-skiing, and canoeing. When she wasn’t on the water, she was climbing trees like a pro and munching on freshly plucked arugula straight from her mom’s garden (because why not?).
She took a brief detour to New York University but quickly realized that skyscrapers weren’t nearly as fun as mountains. So, she packed her bags and headed to Oberlin College in Ohio, where she dove into outdoor adventures every chance she got. Whether she was backpacking in New York’s Finger Lakes or working on a hazelnut orchard, Grace was always chasing her next thrill—while also earning a B.A. in English, of course.
After graduation, she took on the challenge of teaching high school math but soon found herself craving more adventure. That’s when she made the move to Hood River, joining Wet Planet in 2022 as a Reservation and Guest Service Specialist. A stint in Portland managing a vegan restaurant followed, where she loved being perfectly positioned between the mountains and the coast.
But the call of the Columbia River Gorge (and the epic Wet Planet crew) was too strong to resist! After two years away, Grace returned, this time as our Base Operations Manager. She is STOKED to be back.
When she’s not keeping things running smoothly at Wet Planet, you can find Grace learning to wing foil, catching waves, devouring a good book, or cooking up something delicious.
