I just could not pass up highlighting this incredible film from recent high water here in the Pacific Northwest. When good cinematography, composition and story line come together, the effect can blast a shockwave through your body.
Especially for river enthusiasts, high water and flooding can incite a range of emotional reactions: from deep reverence to sheer disbelief. We connect our livelihood to the ebbs and flows of such a natural force, that when that force takes on such a beastly wrath, we are left feeling speechless, humbled and gracious.
Thank you Tyler Malay and Alexandra Erickson for putting together a film that illustrates these ideas.
