Located along the White Salmon River, at the Wet Planet Whitewater Center we are known for running Whitewater Rafting trips, our Kayak School, and facilitate River Rescue Training. Whitewater adventure is our mission and passion, but facilitating river trips are far from all we do!
Chef Vince and team take pride in making delicious farm-to-table food, served at our on-site Wet Planet Café & Grill, for your kayaking classes, full day rafting trips, and multi-day rafting expeditions. The Wet Planet Whitewater Center most definitely also includes a restaurant!
We love good food and appreciate the agricultural abundance in the area we live; and people who play outside need to be fed. So, it only makes sense to satiate our guest’s healthy appetites by going the source! We aim to use as many delicious fresh local ingredients as possible in our Farm-to-Table Menu. In line with our company’s philosophy, we love supporting small local farmers from a sustainability and economical perspective.
Mt Shadow Foods brings us locally raised hormone free pork, beef, bacon, chicken and turkey.
Stonework Farms brings us an abundance of various greens and delicious heirloom tomatoes, and other seasonable vegetables.
Jean Marie’s Garden was started by 2 former Wet Planet guides (they actually met on a rafting trip!). After building a home and starting a family in Husum, they recently started a farm. Of course we signed up for both their Veggie CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), as well as their Herbal CSA!
White Salmon Baking Co. has single-handedly (well, technically multi-handedly) made White Salmon a better place to live with their amazing bread. Our guests get a taste when devouring our brioche style burger buns and ciabatta buns for our grilled panini’s. We also help you start your day off right at the Wet Planet Espresso Bar with their freshly baked croissants, cookies and scones!
Stay tuned for a sampling of our menu developed for the various rafting trips and kayak classes, rafting trip group BBQ’s, as well as the Wet Planet Espresso Bar, and the Wet Planet Café & Grill. Many folks stop by Wet Planet simply to get their daily caffeine & pastry fix, or to enjoy a good lunch on our outdoor patio. They have the right idea – come visit us both on and off the water!
