River Rescue Training By Professional River Rescue Instructors
Taking river rescue training for boaters to a new level, Wet Planet provides fast-paced, scenario-based rescue courses designed to develop the ability to choose good actions when a river rescue is necessary. Students will receive internationally recognized certification through either Rescue 3 International or Sierra Rescue International (depending on the course) for all Wet Planet courses.
We provide various courses to meet the specific needs of varying river users, from kayakers just learning the sport, to professional river guides, to agency search and rescue and fire personnel.
River Rescue Certification – Professional (RRC – Pro): This 2-day course has been designed specifically for individuals who spend a good portion of their lives on the river in a professional capacity (specifically river guides and kayaker instructors) who have previously taken a River Rescue Course.
River Rescue Certification (RRC ): This 2-day course is a hands-on, scenario-based rescue course designed specifically for whitewater boaters: kayakers, rafters, cat boaters, SUP paddlers, river boarders, and canoers.
Swiftwater Rescue Technician (SRT-1): This 3-day NFPA-compliant Swiftwater Rescue Technician Unit 1 (SRT-1) course is designed for Fire and SAR personnel or other professionals who need an NFPA-compliant river rescue course.
Whitewater Rescue Technician (WRT): This 3-day course is designed for agency and company personnel who work around rivers and don’t need an NFPA-certified course. DWR, Fish and Game personnel, environmental consultants, fisheries biologists, and other professionals who work around streams and rivers will find this course perfect for their needs.
