The Columbia River Gorge is known for its abundance of outdoor activities, breathtaking scenery, and generous hospitality. After an exciting day of whitewater rafting, wine tasting, apple picking, or soaking up the sun, the place you are hunkering down each night should be equally as memorable. Opened or remodeled in 2019, these three spots are the newest lodging in the Columbia River Gorge, and have already made our list of favorites!

Lodge 902: Best for Group Lodging

Lodge 902 is conveniently located in downtown Hood River, close to all the best restaurants and shops. Last year they restyled and reopened, updating what was once a Victorian-style B&B to a gorgeous boutique space for the modern adventurer. The lodge sleeps 16, and is perfect for family gatherings, wedding parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, team-building events, or corporate retreats that require group lodging in the Columbia River Gorge. Though you can rent by the room, we recommend taking over the whole space to spend uninterrupted time with your favorite people!

RubyJune Inn: Best lodging for foodies and wine lovers

This cute little bed & breakfast is bursting with flowers and radiating light. The RubyJune Inn is in Husum, WA, right next to Wet Planet, so if you have a morning rafting trip, you can wake up moments before the check in time. Or better yet, you can have a delicious locally sourced breakfast with hosts Gretchen and Chris. With their recent change in ownership and a brand-new makeover, there is now a wine bar, Chefs’ Collective dinners, and a beautifully updated interior. With delicious wine at the IceHouse bar, gourmet food made by local chefs every Saturday, and locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast, the food and wine connoisseur will love this option for lodging in the Columbia River Gorge!

Society Hotel: Best place to stay for a relaxing retreat

The Society Hotel is a chic new spot based out of Bingen, WA, and is right down the street from White Salmon. What was once an 80-year old schoolhouse is now a modern, boutique-style hotel/hostel. Boasting an espresso bar, café, saltwater hot tubs and spa, and even a yoga room, you’ll have equally as much fun kicking back and relaxing in the hotel as you will exploring the Columbia River Gorge!
