ABOUT ME
Big John’s love of whitewater began during early childhood while riding the flooded rivers of Georgia in any sort of inflatable watercraft he could find. It wasn’t until college that he discovered rafting and canoeing on the Chattooga River. John spent several seasons on this beautiful river, honing his skills and preparing for a life on the water.
Since then, John and his wife Katie have traveled the world in search of great rivers and close friends to share their experiences with. John has been a raft and kayak guide in Alaska, Norway, Nepal, the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, and throughout the Southeast.

“One day white water rafting excursion with Wet Planet was definitely one of our best adventures this summer! Located close to White Salmon, easily accessible, right off the main road. Wet Planet offers all kinds of adventures. We spent day on White Salmon and loved it. The water levels were bit low, but we had a ton of fun. First part of the trip are several class IV rapids, then easy float on class II, finishing off with plunge down the Husum Falls, class V 12 feet tall waterfall.
