ABOUT ME
Madalyne grew up on the Front Range of Colorado in the lovely town of Fort Collins. Thanks to her easy access to the mountains, she quickly started spending all of her free time exploring the nearby trails, either via mountain bike or on her own two feet.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and Media Communications, Madalyne moved west to California. But after working a few years at a corporate job in Silicon Valley, she quickly realized it was time for a change. Enter a motorcycle and the goal of riding from San Francisco to Florida. From then on she has been pretty nomadic: working a winter season at Crested Butte ski resort in Colorado, living for six months in Salento, Colombia, and adventuring around Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and Guatemala.
But eventually, she realized she needed a home base so she packed up her life and moved to Hood River, Oregon in the summer of 2023. Since then she has summited numerous mountains (including Hood and Adams), run her first ultramarathon, and worked a wine harvest. Madalyne is very excited to join the Wet Planet team and explore the rivers around the Columbia River Gorge.
When not on the river taking photos or videos for social media, you will find Madalyne running along the nearby trails, road biking, hitting the slopes on her skis, drinking coffee, and hanging out with friends.
