ABOUT ME

Wet Planet Rafting Decal
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Laurel grew up in a family of 5 kids, playing sports and camping whenever possible. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2018 where she played Division III ice hockey, worked for the radio station, and double majored in Anthropology and Writing & Rhetoric. Since graduating college Laurel has pursued a career in live music and events while making time for her creative side as a writer, photographer, and multimedia artist. She lived on the road for a year working music festivals before settling back in Cleveland and managing at concert venues.

Laurel moved to the Pacific Northwest in early 2022 and has been stoked about the Gorge ever since, hiking every waterfall trail she can find and exploring the mountains. She also writes for Columbia Gorge News and Hood River Eats, and some nights you can catch her pouring beers at Full Sail Brewing, enjoying a local concert, or whipping up pottery at the Clay Commons. Laurel is a photographer and base staff member at Wet Planet.
