Wet Planet Rafting Decal

Hailing from the farmlands of eastern Pennsylvania, Jeff was bitten by the whitewater bug in 2004 while studying at Wesleyan University (go Cardinals!). After two summers of learning the ropes on the Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe, PA, he moved to bigger waters in the southeastern United States. The French Broad, Nolichucky, Pigeon, Nantahala, and Cheoah rivers provided him work and leisure until he traveled west and joined Wet Planet in 2011.

When not guiding on rivers, Jeff enjoys kayaking, skiing, traveling, and overnight raft trips with friends. During the off-season, Jeff works as a ski patroller in South Lake Tahoe and also enjoys time back in the Southeast during the kayak race season. Some unremarkable accomplishments include middle-of-the-pack finishes in races on the Green, Gauley, Russell Fork, and Youghiogheny rivers.

During the winter of 2013, Jeff spent a few months kayaking throughout Ecuador alongside fellow Wet Planet guides Jackie and Tyler. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed South America, raving, “It was really fun to travel and be on the river with such great friends!”

Jeff brings quite a bit of experience and technical training to Wet Planet. He is a guide and trip leader on the White SalmonWindHoodFarmlandsKlickitat, and Tieton rivers, as well as an ACA certified whitewater kayak instructor. He has been an EMT since 2006 and is certified to instruct Wet Planet’s RRC Pro and RRC swiftwater rescue courses. Not to mention, Jeff will happily speak Spanish with you if you’d like!
