ABOUT ME

Wet Planet Rafting Decal

Born and raised in the great state of Maine, Adelaide grew up in a family that encouraged her to explore every inch of the world she could. Through hiking, camping, and exploring New England’s rugged landscapes, she developed a deep love for the outdoors and a strong desire to help preserve the places we recreate in.

Adelaide began working in the outdoor recreation industry in 2021 as a rock climbing and hiking guide for the Maine Bound Adventure Center. There, she led week-long rock climbing and backpacking camps in Acadia National Park, winter mountaineering expeditions on Mount Katahdin—the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail—and introductory canoeing and kayaking courses. Since 2022, she has worked as a registered Maine whitewater guide on the Penobscot River, where she cultivated a love of controlled chaos and continued developing her kayaking skills. Since 2024, she has also worked full time as a professional ski patroller at Sugarloaf Mountain, balancing winters on snow with summers on the river.

Joining the Wet Planet team for the 2026 season, Adelaide is excited to bring her East Coast experience to the White Salmon. You’ll find her guiding rafts over Husum Falls and helping out with the kayak school, sharing her love of whitewater progression and river community. She’s eager to keep learning, keep pushing herself, and help guests build confidence while experiencing everything the river has to offer.
