ABOUT ME
Born in Redmond, Washington and raised in South Carolina, Madeline grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, shaped by family camping trips, hiking adventures, and travel to new places. Her passion continued to grow in college, where she studied Environmental Science at the University of South Carolina and became heavily involved in her school’s Mountaineering and Whitewater Club. Set to graduate in May 2026, Madeline balanced academics with adventure, developing a strong love not only for enjoying wild places, but for protecting them as well.
Madeline’s whitewater journey began on the Chattooga River in South Carolina, where she discovered both the whitewater community and her passion for rafting and kayaking. Since then, she’s loved exploring new rivers and believes that time spent on the water offers a unique opportunity to connect with others, with nature, and with herself.
Joining the Wet Planet team in 2026, Madeline is excited to return to her family’s roots in Washington and begin a new chapter in the Columbia River Gorge. After visiting the Gorge and running the White Salmon for the first time, she knew Wet Planet was the perfect place to continue growing on the river. This season, you’ll find Madeline guiding rafts on the White Salmon while building her skills alongside the Wet Planet team. She’s eager to deepen her passion for whitewater, learn from fellow guides, and help guests create meaningful connections on the river.
