Dylan Thede

Hailing from Snohomish, Washington, Dylan grew up searching for lizards in open fields and running through the woods with his cousins. He’s been camping and hiking since he was small and hasn’t found a single reason to stop since. During his time at WWU, he fell in love with outdoor recreation all over again, finding a community that shared his drive for exploration.

Watching his older sister capture incredible photos during his childhood inspired Dylan to start documenting his own adventures. When he isn’t at base camp, he is usually out tracking down a new lifer bird or scouting the next mountain to hike, camp, or climb.

Now living in the Gorge, Dylan spends his time exploring his new home and leaning into the area’s natural beauty. A passionate learner and educator, he is currently working toward becoming a teacher, hoping to share his curiosity for the natural world with the next generation.
