ABOUT ME
Rain was born in Portland and has lived in Trout Lake his whole life, where he finished primary and high school. Rain was born into a river family, so rafting and kayaking is in his blood.
When he’s not on the river, he love to ski, travel, and explore. He have skied on Mt. Hood his entire life and has traveled around the PNW to ski at different mountains. Since a young age he has traveled with family; he has been all over the West Coast. Some of his favorite places are the Idaho panhandle and the Utah desert. He also has spent time in Costa Rica and Mexico during the winter. His favorite trip was when he traveled to Europe, where he visited Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. His favorite part of that trip was hiking in the Italian Alps or exploring the forests and mountains around Lake Bled in Slovenia.
Rain got into kayaking when he was around seven years old. He had been on a few multi day rafting trips on the Grande Ronde before that. He started doing kayaking camps every summer. Originally, he started out in the inflatable kayaks but in no time he hopped in a hard shell and has been kayaking ever since. He have kayaked numerous rivers in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. His favorites have been the Ohanapecosh, SF Clearwater, and the White Salmon.
