Free or Discounted Rafting and Kayaking
If we have open spaces, you can bring a friend or family member on rafting trips and kayak courses for free! Interested in learning to kayak? Jump on one of our beginner kayak courses when there’s space.

Use of Gear
We have a large amount of gear for our river trips, and Wet Planet team members are welcome to use much of it on their own time. There are rules around how and when, as well as a sign-out procedure, but we have a designated raft for private trips, kayaks that staff can demo, and the gear to outfit your family if they want to hop on a river trip.

Discounts on Professional Training
Wet Planet employees can take any of our professional training courses (river rescue courses, first responder recertifications, ACA instructor course, etc.) at a significant discount.

Saturday Night Dinner
The Saturday Night Dinner (SND) tradition began almost 20 years ago and still helps maintain the family atmosphere within the crew. On regular Saturday nights, we host a team dinner. Different people take turns cooking, and Wet Planet provides the food. The location varies, but it’s always a great way to hang out with each other in a relaxed environment after a busy weekend day.

Continued Learning
Besides training opportunities during the season, we encourage employees to seek out continued learning opportunities relevant to our fields of expertise. This can be in travel, environmental projects, community care, or skill development. Employees in good standing may apply for a stipend to support reaching these goals.

Medical Benefits
Medical insurance is offered for all management positions, as well as full-time staff who have committed to a full season after four years of full-time employment.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
Full-time management and year-round positions accrue PTO based on the number of months worked.
