This is Pete. He loves anything to do with water. Pete developed his love for water at a young age while playing around in the surf around his home town of Adelaide, South Australia. It did not take much for him to head to NZ to pursue a diploma of Adventure Tourism, a two year course that focused on teaching all the skills necessary to become a guide in multiple outdoor pursuits.
Since then Pete has worked a range of different guiding jobs around the world. From leading Sea Kayak trips in NZ’s national Parks, to guiding people down the Cache La Poudre River in Colorado, to teaching kids how to connect with nature in South Australia, as well as guiding rafts on rivers in NZ’s Deep South. His newest guiding focus is canyoning, which involves throwing people off cliffs and sliding them into beautiful naturally formed pools, or clipping them to ropes and zipping them over waterfalls, all in the name of fun.
His passion with the outdoors has led him to explore the world and connect with all the awesome people in it.
He is looking forward to a great season on the White Salmon River and for all of the wonderful experiences the river will provide him and his guests this coming summer.
