Kenji Stasiewicz
After spending most of his childhood on the sports pitch, Kenji entered the world of outdoor adventure promptly after graduating college in Florida. Working experiential education and wilderness therapy coupled with a successful through-hike of the Appalachian Trail cultivated an insatiable appreciation for the power of playing outside and connecting with the natural world. After gallivanting around much of the US, Kenji made his way to Northern California where he discovered whitewater rivers and immediately fell in love. Honing his kayaking skills and accumulating emergency medical experience behind the Redwood Curtain, Kenji eventually realized his dream of traveling and living in South America. For 15 months he explored high quality rivers in Ecuador and Colombia, navigated glaciated mountain ranges of Peru, got involved in an adventure and social developmental project, sharpened his Spanish conversation skills, and made many special friends along the way. Upon relocating to the US, Kenji followed life’s decision to make White Salmon his new home and give back to the community all that he has been blessed with. Besides all the adrenaline filled sports the Gorge has to offer, Kenji’s passion is exploring cultural diversity and ecstatically dancing to music that moves. He is excited about putting down some roots and seeing what’s in store next!
