Originally from Northern California, Anna went on her first rafting trip when she was six years old on the American River, after which she created a detailed river journal featuring all of the rapids. In college, between studying religion and rowing with her team, she started guiding on that very same river and has loved the freedom and wildness of working on the river ever since. After working on the American Rivers for four years and living in Sri Lanka for a year guiding and teaching English, she switched to multi-day river trips on the magical Rogue River and in the summer of 2016 she had the privilege of teaching whitewater kayaking for Sundance Kayak School on the Rogue. When Anna’s not studying for nursing school in Portland, you’ll find her on the White Salmon. One of Anna’s passions is sharing the outdoors and all of its challenges with others and she can’t wait to see you on the water!
