Alex began his raft guiding career in 2015 while living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. While taking a Wilderness First Responder’s course, he met a river guide and former Wet Planet employee who recommended he try working as a raft guide for the summer instead of his normal gig of landscaping. He had no prior experience rafting, but decided to give it a shot. By the time he finished his guide training he was convinced: rafting was waaay better than landscaping. After three summers of guiding the rivers of Northwest Colorado, Alex decided to make the move to Washington to investigate the entrancing rumors he had heard about its amazing whitewater.
Alex’s passions outside of whitewater include skiing, climbing, and biking.
