Rivers have been an integral part of our life together for my wife and I. I was on the river by myself for the first two Valentine’s day, until I landed a Grand Canyon permit. Our third Valentine’s day was at the confluence of the Little Colorado and main Colorado in the Grand Canyon. The sun was shining and the water was aquamarine blue. It looked more like the tropics than a river. We aren’t sure how to top that one, though we keep trying with many raft trips. My wife and I got married in September of this year at Husum Highlands. In the days leading up to the wedding, I got in a dawn patrol on the Truss on Wednesday and a Middle White trip with the family with Wet Planet. The day of our wedding, I was under orders from the bride to get in another Truss dawn patrol lap. Life was good.
