Omar Guzman was born in Hood River, Oregon and was raised in the beautiful White Salmon River valley.
Omar discovered his love for whitewater in 2013 when he went whitewater rafting for the first time with Wet Planet. After that initial trip, he was hooked and decided to start working for Wet Planet as a very important member of the base team. Omar helps make the logistics of taking thousands of people down the river run smoothly and flawlessly.
Omar attended Columbia High School in White Salmon, Washington, and played on both the football and soccer teams. After graduating high school, he was accepted into Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where he is currently majoring in Architecture, with a minor in Spanish.
Omar continued to pursue his whitewater passion when he went kayaking for the first time in 2014 with the Beginner Kayaking course at Wet Planet.
With his free time, Omar loves hiking around the Gorge, attending music concerts, snowboarding at Mt. Hood Meadows, attending WSU football games, and hanging out with friends.
Please say hi to Omar when you see him cooking up delicious food in the Wet Planet café!
